Last week the BBC reported on recent research which sheds light on concerning practices within female health monitoring apps, raising alarms about the privacy and security of highly sensitive data shared by women.
A new study analysed the privacy policies and data safety labels of 20 of the most popular apps designed to assist women in monitoring their health, particularly for conceiving purposes. The findings revealed a troubling landscape of poor data management practices, putting women at risk of privacy breaches and mishandling of personal information.
